Visit of a delegation from Macau to the Principality

As part of their European tour, a delegation from the Government of the Macau Special Administrative Region visited the Principality on March 8 and 9, 2025.
The Chinese delegation from this autonomous region of the People's Republic of China was led by Mr. Tai Kin Ip, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macau Government, accompanied by several other senior government officials, such as the Director of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, the Director of the Tourism Bureau, and the Director of the University of Macau Study Center.
Several Macau business leaders specializing in high technology, artificial intelligence, and the telecommunications sector accompanied the official delegation.
The Macau hotel and casino group, Galaxy Entertainment Group, a strategic partner of SBM in the Asia-Pacific region since 2017, was also represented by its Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Buddy Lam.
Over a friendly dinner, organized in the prestigious setting of the Hôtel de Paris, by H.E. Ms. Marie-Pascale Boisson, Ambassador of Monaco to China, the members of the delegation were able to exchange with representatives of the Department of Finance, External Relations and Cooperation, the Ministerial Delegation for Attractiveness and Digital Transition, the Tourism Directorate and the Monaco Economic Board.
On this occasion, Monegasque business leaders active in the technological innovation sector were also able to meet with their Chinese counterparts.
As Mr. Tai Kin Ip emphasized, this visit marks a first step in the prospect of further developing the existing relations between Monaco and Macau.
