Arnaud Alessandria faces first events

Arnaud Alessandria is the first of the Monegasque athletes to compete. Tomorrow, Sunday 6 February, he will be taking part in the downhill event in Yanqing. Along with his fellow competitors, he checked out the slope for the first time this week, since no pre-Olympic events were able to be scheduled due to the health crisis and the inability to travel to Asia.

Arnaud Alessandria finishes 29th in downhill event

A good performance and job done for the Monegasque skier, who was aiming to finish in the top 30. Tomorrow, Tuesday, he will move on to the super G.

Wearing number 36, Arnaud Alessandria, the first Monaco athlete to compete in these Winter Olympics, finished 29th in the downhill event today, with a time of 1’46’’25 (3’’56 behind the leader). With H.S.H. Prince Albert II watching, the skier from the Principality is to be credited for a great performance in Yanqing. He finished in the top 30, which was his goal for the event.
