Economic cooperation

  • + 17,3%: increase in exports from Monaco to China (between 2011 and 2012)
  • + 11,5%: increase in imports from China (between 2011 and 2012)
  • Chinese tourists spent 4,208 nights in the Principality during 2013

Activities have also been undertaken through the Monaco Economic Development Chamber (CDE), which regularly organises meetings with foreign partners, and has arranged several events to promote the development of exchanges with China.

In the Principality’s schools, 150 children aged 11–18 are learning Chinese..

Since September 2007, the Monaco-China Association has been offering Chinese lessons to those in the Principality and neighbouring areas: Chinese classes for children, conversation classes, Chinese calligraphy classes, and Tai Chi classes.
